Megan Dangen
Service Manager
When families experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Megan’s passion is leading experienced teams bringing healing and hope to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. Megan manages the team supporting clients through budget creation, debt consolidation, advocacy, Kiwisaver withdrawal and no asset procedure applications. Megan’s motivation comes from seeing whanau/families thriving and confident with a sense of wellbeing and empowerment to face future financial challenges.

Sheriar Irani
Senior Financial Mentor
Sheriar has worked with many clients since he started working with PHBS in 2009. His experience in the accounting field and time spent working for a multinational credit card company has given him great knowledge when assisting those with low financial literacy and where money matters are a big challenge.

Fiona Govender
Senior Financial Mentor
Fiona joined Pakuranga & Howick Budgeting Service in June 2018. Fiona is experienced in helping clients to achieve their financial goals – whether this is achieving debt free status or simply having a sufficient food budget. She can provide assistance in dealing with creditors, WINZ, IRD and other support organisations such as Nga Tangata Microfinance and Variety Club. Fiona has a Bachelor of Commerce, Master’s Degree in Commercial Law and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting.

Nadine Nicholson
Service Administrator & Financial Mentor
Nadine is an experienced financial mentor and enjoys seeing clients reach their full potential with building financial capability. Nadine is also the Service Administrator and handles all of the bookings and enquiries.

Ken Fraser
Chairperson
Ken has a background in business over many years with connections to industries manufacturing and marketing durables, and consumables. Ken retired from his General Manger corporate background a number of years back. Since then, he has committed to helping others in the community through his involvement with the Pakuranga Counselling Centre and the Pakuranga and Howick Budgeting Service Inc. He says "It is important to support community organisations and people in need".

I’m delighted to be on the board of PHBS. I’m keen to learn about financial capabilities and literacy. I’ve been privileged to worked in large corporates, family businesses, schools, social services (housing and youth services) and iwi as a Chartered Accountant. I am also on several other charitable boards.

Nic McClean
Secretary
Nic has been in senior roles in FMGC for over 35 years, After leaving the corporate world he started a business consultancy specialising in supporting small to medium sized business. His experience covers working with both businesses and trusts and sits on multiple advisory boards. He is currently serving on the board of the New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association.

Judith Brown
Judy joined the budgeting service as a board member in 2018. She lives locally and prior to her retirement was a school principal in the Howick and Pakuranga area. She was a board member on the life Education Trust for seven years.

Kirsten Steinbring
Kirsten joined the budgeting service as a board member in November 2022. Originally from Ireland, she has worked just over 18 years in NZ healthcare (primary care & specialist services). Her expertise and experience are in operational management, service delivery and HR/people management. Kirsten is passionate about all New Zealander's having access to great support services, empowering and enabling them to make informed choices and positive change in all aspect of their lives.
